Camp Misty Mountain - Troop/Group activities

What are Troop/Group Camping Activities and what types of activities are available?

Camp Misty Mountain offers instructor-led and non instructor-led activities to supplement your camping weekend. These activities are led by trained or certified instructors and all necessary equipment is provided. How many activities can we request?
You may request one-two instructor-led activities. At the most, you will be placed in two of these activities. In addition, troops/groups may request activity kits to do on their own.

What dates are these activities available?
September 2010 - May 2011. Exceptions include: Sept. 17-19, 24-26, Oct. 1-3, 8-10, Nov 12-14, Dec. 3-5, Jan 14-16, Jan 21-23, Jan 28-30, Feb. 18-20, March 25-27, April 15-17, April 29-May 1.

How do we request activities?
Complete an application and fax or mail it to the camp office after Jan. 15 and July 15. Applications will be placed based on postmarks.

Can we register after the deadline?
Contact the Camp Misty Mountain director for availability. Activities will not be scheduled over the phone; an application must be faxed or mailed.

When do we need to pay?
After you are confirmed for Troop/Group Camping Activities, your payment is due no later than 15 days before your camping date. Failure to pay by the deadline will forfeit your activity. No refunds will be made for cancellations or changes in numbers less than 10 days prior to the camping date. Please check your camping confirmation for the due date of your site fee.

Will the camp store be open during our stay?
No. The camp store has been permanently closed. Camp Misty Mountain patches are available at the Atlanta Badge & Sash Girl Scout store.

Meal options: Sunday breakfast
At the end of an incredible weekend of fun and adventure, take Sunday morning off from cooking and eat at our breakfast (with hot coffee) in our dining hall. The meal will be offered if we have at least 50 pre-paid diners. Sign up using the Troop/Group Camping Activities application. The cost is $7/person.
