POSITION SUMMARY:
The Product Marketing Business Partner position will act as a Marketing Manager in the Marketing Department supporting Product Sales, Camp and Outdoor Programs and Retail Stores for the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta.

The Product Marketing Business Partner supporting Product Sales, Camp and Outdoor Programs and Retail Stores (Product Marketing Manager) is responsible for increasing profit center growth by developing and implementing comprehensive and multi-channel product marketing plans for product sales, camp and outdoor programs and retails stores. The Product Marketing Manager will work cross functionally to drive internal and external communications, facilitate promotions and maximize ROI through qualitative and quantitative research, sales and trend analysis and an in-depth understanding of consumer insights.

As a member of the Marketing and Communications Department, the Product Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications and participates in council and department communications planning meetings. The Product Marketing Manager will work daily as a client business partner with product/program teams and key decision makers to increase brand awareness and market penetration by expansion in existing customer segment and consumer acquisition programs.

Must be highly-motivated, hands-on, self-directed, creative, enthusiastic, and possess a positive can-do attitude. Must enjoy working in a collaborative, high-pressure, fast-paced, and deadline-oriented environment.

This position also requires superior project management skills, seasoned decision-making—with the ability to anticipate needs and escalate concerns maturely, deliver exceptional customer service, support a wide-range of projects and activities while consistently producing product of the highest-quality.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead efforts to develop and execute customer lead generation and pipeline growth
  • Partner with the product sales team to develop and execute customer lead generation and pipeline growth
  • Build a portfolio of lead generation programs with a focus on public relations
  • Stay abreast of the competitive landscape, environmental impacts and consumer behaviors
  • Acts as internal business partner; providing strategic communications counsel to senior management, Marketing Department, Council Staff and volunteers on communicating with media around reputational priorities or sensitive issues
  • Identifies current and emerging trends and integrate into applicable strategies
  • Monitors progress to goals and objectives through regular status reporting
  • Manages intricate and high-visibility projects and strategic partnerships
  • Develops strong relationships with Girl Scouts network and key partners
  • Develops and manages marketing and internal and external communications campaigns and projects for Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Council, Camp and Outdoor Programs, Badge & Sash, and Product Sales
  • Generate consistent project media coverage (traditional, online and social media)
  • Develop and manage advertising and media promotions buy
  • Leads research projects using surveys, focus groups, polls and other primary and secondary methods to assess communication effectiveness
  • Works with Marketing Department to create and maintain communications and production calendars and project timelines
  • Executes additional duties as assigned
    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 5-7 years of successful strategic brand and product marketing and marketing communications management
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related field
  • Experience in strategic project development, management and execution
  • Experience in managing to reach revenue goals
  • Strong research and project management skills
  • Uses marketing and communications best practices to solve a wide range of difficult problems in imaginative ways
  • Experience with vehicle planning and management experience
  • Comfortable working in a co-management capacity
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks related to projects, and adept at managing internal and external resources
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communications skills
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products—including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point, and Project as well as proficient Internet research skills
  • Strong organizational, proofreading and editing skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Associated Press style
  • Strong writing skills, able to quickly create content in multiple styles for print or digital media, including articles, video scripts, interviews, executive memorandums and more
  • Ability to function with limited supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experienced in branding, trade show management, collateral development and video production
  • Must be comfortable dialoguing with executive-level management
  • Administrative experience handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Superb proofreading and copyediting skills
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Outgoing, personable, mature, respectful and positive demeanor. Should have a good understanding of the creative process and be able to work well with a graphics team
  • Must be comfortable working with youth, volunteers and parents
  • Collaborative work style
  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity
  • Must have a strong portfolio that demonstrates experience
  • 10% travel nationally and within 34 County Service Area
  • Spanish Language Fluency a Plus
  • Must be comfortable working on-call during nights and evenings and working some evenings and weekends
  • Must have the ability to work remotely if needed and have the necessary resources to work with large file graphics outside of the office environment
  • Corporate and non-profit experience a plus
  • Must successfully complete an MVR, credit and criminal background check
