Description:It’s time to Wake Up Camp! This is a great way to help and explore your very own Camp Misty Mountain, spend time with family and friends, and have a great time! Friday evening we’ll relax around the campfire, snack and sing, and plan our big day. Saturday’s frenzy will include teams working on all sorts of projects: setting up platform tents, moving in beds and mattresses, clearing trails, doing minor repairs, painting, cleaning buildings, cooking delicious meals and more! There are projects suitable for all ages from 7 on up. You can leave at the end of the day, but feel free to stick around for another night to relax with the crew.. Go for a hike, play some volleyball, test out one of those tents, and visit the ponies at the barn. It’s amazing how working together brings us together. All adults must be registered Girl Scouts and have an approved background check on file. All Meals (Saturday Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Saturday Lunch) are provided, and the $20 per person cost is just to cover meals and basic supplies for this weekend. Full payment due at time of registration.

Come explore the past at Stone Mountain Park’s Antebellum Plantation and Farmyard and experience how girls lived life over 150 years ago. Of course, people had to eat but there were no trips to the grocery store, only what you could grow in your garden. Visit our garden to learn about growing your own food and take home a seed to start a garden of your own. Once you had grown your food, you would still need to cook it. Learn about preparing food in a real cook house and get a chance to make some butter! It wasn't all hard work, a girl’s got to have some fun! Come experience an old fashioned recess and learn to play the games of graces, hoop and stick, jacks and marbles. In our one room school house ,you will have the chance to make your own doll and a special handmade Mother’s Day card! No trip through time is complete without the right look, so you will get a chance to dress like a real lady of the period. Come spend a day a “Playing the Past” with us and earn a participation badge for your scouting vest too! Tickets can be purchased at www.stonemountainpark.com/scouts for $21 plus tax. Parking is $15 per vehicle.
