 Serendipity

Ahh, Serendipity! The name says it all! When the hustle and bustle of your day is filled carpooling, helping with homework and managing the entire family's schedule - you need to get away.

A weekend at Serendipity gives moms (or aunts, grandmothers or other special women) and their girls an opportunity to spend time together without all the distractions life can throw at you, nestled in a gorgeous setting at Camp Meriwether, near Newnan, GA.   Click here for more information about Serendipity activities and registration information.

Description:In her mother, a daughter sees her foundation; her history and the lives of all those women who came before her. She sees herself and understands what it means to be a woman. Set aside a Serendipity weekend at Camp Meriwether with your Girl Scout daughter to help her explore her foundations through you. The wonderful part about this weekend is that you and your daughter decide what you want to do together. We're just there to help you be together. Activities are offered in a drop-in type schedule and include such things as: canoeing, archery, arts & crafts, games and other fun hands-on experiences. Currently registered (2015-16) Girl Scouts and their mothers or female chaperones may attend Serendipity. Choose from a variety of accommodations: Pitch your own tent, use the platform tents or rent space in the cabins with heating and air conditioning. If you’d like to enjoy the event, but do not wish to camp, you may also choose the “glamping” option, and stay at a nearby hotel or bed & breakfast. Participants provide their own meals. Payment is due in full at time of registration. Adult Training required: none. Because this is a family event, please be aware that not all adults in attendance may be registered Girl Scout volunteers. Each parent/guardian is responsible for supervising her own child at this event.

 Mountain Jubilee

Fathers have such a special bond with their daughters, yet many dads actually spend less than an hour a day with the girl that means so much to them. If you want an opportunity to invest in a strong relationship that makes a real difference in your daughter’s life – we’ve got just the thing - a quality experience with Dad!

Dads, bring your daughters and your laid-back attitude to Mountain Jubilee - a time-honored tradition of dads and daughters enjoying a fall weekend at Camp Misty Mountain in Armuchee, GA. Come as an individual family, or get all the troop dads in on the action together for a fun, unique way to bond as a troop.  Click here for more information about Mountain Jubilee activities and registration information.
