 Short-Term and Event Participation

Welcome to Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering! As a volunteer, your most important role is to be excited about everything this opportunity affords you: a chance to partner with girls and an invitation to play a critical role in their lives.

  • Short-Term Series Volunteers work directly with and for a group of girls to share the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Volunteers facilitate a 4 to 8 session program based on the Girl Scout National Program Portfolio, and are equipped with resources including supplies, training, and ongoing support. Each session ranges from 45 to 90 minutes, for a total commitment of 10-15 hours per series.

  • Special Interest Volunteers customize their time commitment to a single session or series of sessions focused on a particular topic or skill. All services offered must be free of charge to Girl Scouts. Volunteers receive ongoing support, guidance, evaluation and recognition of efforts from council representatives.
